Passionate young scientist intent on understanding the world around her, one genome sequence at a time.
I am currently a third year student at the University of Florida studying Biochemistry with a Minor in Pathogenesis. Throughout my time in college, I have had the opportunity to begin my scientific career through both student-led and peer-mentored research groups including: The Center for Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine, UFlorida's International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition, Dream Team Engineering, and CURE: Research for Academic Credit. Additionally I have honed my leadership and management skills through acting as the Executive Director for the Center for Undergraduate Research Board of Students and serving as a Florida Cicerone.
As the end of my undergraduate career approaches, I plan to pursue an MPH and subsequently a PhD in Genetic or Infectious Disease Epidemiology. For more detail on my involvement and accomplishments so far, please see my CV below.
